Search continues for missing 49-year-old fisherman along the Labasa River

Police are still searching for the 49-year old fisherman from Siberia who went out on a fishing trip but did not return home.

Police say the fisherman left on his 12ft single tin boat on Tuesday night and failed to return home yesterday morning.

A missing persons report was then lodged at the Labasa Police Station.

Two search parties consisting of officers from the Labasa Police Station were deployed to search for the fisherman along the Labasa River yesterday.
