A great deal of hard work and dedication is required to earn the Dux award.

This was highlighted by the Dux recipient for Seaqaqa Central College, Farifta Zunaira Hussain who says that she was not very confident at the beginning of the year as the competition was very strong.

She adds that her main strategy was waking up early to study each morning.

Hussain, who plans to become a teacher in the future, says her next aim is to work towards her goal of becoming a primary school teacher.

She has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her parents who supported her throughout her journey.

Hussain urges all students to understand that a great deal of sacrifice and hard work is needed to succeed.
