It was a frenetic day, a madcap test, as Josua Tuisova played his debut against Scotland in 2017, and they are hoping to contain him in Suva this weekend.
This was shared to fijivillage News by the Scottish loose forward Jamie Ritchie after their first day of training this week at Albert Park.
He says they have no injury concerns in camp, and they are prepared to face the Fijians this week.
Former Flying Fijian Pio Bosco Tikoisuva was at the grounds watching the Scotland team train and anticipates a good battle this week.
Tikoisuva who captained Fiji when they defeated the British Lions 25-21 at Buckhurst Park in Suva on August 16, 1977 says the Scottish are like the French – they smell blood, when they play but the way the Fijians are playing, he is confident Fiji can create another upset in Suva and resonate memories of 2017 when they defeated Scotland 27-22 in Suva.
He says Fiji has some really good players and will be expecting a tough game.
Fiji will play Scotland at 3pm on Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium, Suva.
