Schools in the Western Division will be given hundreds of bodyguard Antibacterial soap in an effort to promote hand washing as one of the most important health habits.

While speaking at the Global Hand washing Day at the Girmit Centre, Punjas Group Chief Marketing Manager Gopal Jadhav says this is their small way of helping children make hand washing a daily routine before meals, after using the toilet, and whenever hands are dirty.

The Ministry of Health will be given the bars of soap for distribution to the schools.

While speaking on behalf of Ocean Soaps, Jadhav says the 2025 theme, “Be a Handwashing Hero,” reminds us that even the smallest actions can make a big difference.

He says handwashing is one of the simplest and most powerful ways to protect our health, something Ocean Soaps has long championed.

Jadhav says beyond making products, they believe in promoting healthy habits and hand washing is one of the most important habits of all.

He says hand washing may seem simple, but it prevents illnesses like diarrhea, influenza, typhoid, and respiratory infections, especially vital during cyclone season when diseases spread quickly.

The Marketing Manager has reminded children that their health is in their hands and every time they wash their hands with soap, they are protecting themselves, their family, and friends.
