Reports coming from school is that some school heads are sleeping in their offices during school hours.

Fijian Teachers Association General Secretary, Paula Manumanunitoga has highlighted this during the No Repeat Policy consultation where he says reports of school heads staying in their offices and often instructing their administrative officers to tell others that they are busy working.

Manumanunitoga says back in the day, school heads would ensure that by the end of Term two, Year 1 and Year 2 students were able to read.

Manumanunitoga says this consultation is a timely reminder for all school heads to step up their efforts and work harder.

Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro says whatever is discussed during the consultation, along with feedback from teachers and stakeholders will be considered.

Radrodro says the ministry aims to align its policies with the current education system.
