The Fiji Nursing Association and the Nurse Educators Research Forum will be providing scholarships for registered nurses and undergraduate nurses who want to further their studies.
This was highlighted by the Fiji Nursing Association President Alisi Vudiniabola.
The scholarship was launched at their Annual General Meeting dinner.
Vudiniabola stated that the scholarship will provide financial assistance to registered nurses and undergraduate nurses who want to further their education but are facing financial difficulties.
She says any registered nurse or undergraduate nurse who has enrolled into a nursing program in a tertiary institution can apply for the scholarship that covers for the fees and the book allowance.
Pacific Mental Health Nurse Educator, Fuimaono Karl Pulotu’Endemann launched the scholarship and also donated $1000 to start the fund.
Vudiniabola says $5000 has already been raised and every May they will have an annual function to raise funds for the scholarship foundation.
