Attorney General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum at the Budget Roadshow with the Narere resident

The Attorney General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has made it clear that he cannot interfere with the judicial system.

Sayed-Khaiyum made this clear at the Budget Roadshow at Vunimono High School after a Narere resident raised his concern as to when he will receive his compensation, since he had won his case last year.

The man says that he was involved in a road accident with police vehicle back in 2009, however he is still awaiting the payment due to him as he had won the case.

Sayed-Khaiyum told the man that his lawyer should have been the one acting on the issue.

The man also says that since the accident, he is not able to work.

The Attorney General then informed him to note down his issues with the government officials at the roadshow. He assured the man that he will look into it.
