Savea brothers to start for Moana against the Hurricanes tonight

The Savea brothers, Ardie and Julian, will be starting for Moana Pasifika against their former club, the Hurricanes, as they hope to lock in their position for the qualifying finals next weekend.

Ardie will captain the side while Julian starts at second five in place of the injured Danny Toala.

Moana is competing with the Blues for sixth place as both teams have 28 points each, and only one team will move forward to the qualifying finals.

The Hurricanes have won all three of their Super Rugby Pacific matches against Moana Pasifika at Sky Stadium by an average margin of 32.7 points per game, scoring 52 points per game across those three wins.

Moana Pasifika have won two of their last three Super Rugby Pacific matches after conceding 50+ points in the game prior.

Savea says it will be good playing in Wellington, but he wants to do his best for the team and himself.

The last time both teams met, Moana Pasifika were victorious, defeating the Hurricanes 40–31.

Moana Pasifika will meet the Hurricanes at 7.05 tonight.

In other matches, the Blues face the Waratahs at 4.35pm today, and the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua meet the Reds at 9.35 tonight.
