Saneem says it is blasphemous if Prof. Prasad called him a God in parliament

Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem

Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem says he will only comment on elections matters that are within the ambit of the Fijian Elections Office, and discussions in Parliament are subject to unrestricted discussions.

Saneem says Parliament speeches carry a lot of immunity, and the Leader of the National Federation Party Professor Biman Prasad, has all the right to call the amendment of the Electoral Act as stupid in parliament.

He adds if there is an allegation made in parliament, they will only clarify like they did yesterday, and that is where their role ends.

Saneem also says that it is blasphemous if Professor Prasad called Saneem a God in parliament.

Professor Prasad had said in parliament that this is a government which has continued to empower the Supervisor, and the Supervisor of Elections is almost like a God now.
