Sanatan followers must come together, setting aside differences to achieve spiritual and cultural growth for the entire community.

This was highlighted by Year 10 student Shreya Kumar of Tilak High School on the theme of Unity and Reconciliation during the Diwali Mela at Drasa, Vitogo, Lautoka.

Kumar says to forget the past and forgive the mistakes and hurt caused, whether knowingly or unknowingly, and to promise not to discuss the past ever again in the future.

She encourages everyone to give each other another chance and to let everyone heal, restore, and find peace.

The Year 10 student says humanity is bound up in each of us, for we can only be human together.

She adds that everyone should reconcile and unite for the betterment of the community.
