As Hindus begin the 9-day celebration of Ram Navami, the Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji has launched a book that has made performing Ramayan pooja ceremonies much easier.

The Sabha says the Saral Ramayan Pooja Paddhiti which was launched during the 62nd Sanatan Convention held in Labasa, is a significant addition to the spiritual resources available to devotees, providing an easier way to conduct Ramayan pooja ceremonies in Fiji.

They say the book is meticulously prepared by Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji and has received endorsements from prominent organisations such as Shree Sanatan Dharm Purohit Brahman Maha Sabha Fiji, Shree Sanatan Dharm Brahman Sabha - Nadi, Central Brahman Sabha Fiji and Shree Sanatan Dharm Akhil Brahman Sabha – Vanualevu, Fiji.

Sabha National Secretary, Krishneel Tiwari says this publication is a testament to their commitment to making spiritual practices more accessible to the community.

He says by providing a simplified guide to Ramayan pooja, they aim to enrich the spiritual journey of devotees and foster a deeper connection with Lord Ram.

The Sabha says the book has been distributed free of charge to all registered mandali under Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji, ensuring that every member of the community has access to this valuable resource.

Meanwhile, Ram Navami commemorates the birth anniversary of Lord Ram, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who is revered for his righteousness, courage, and compassion.

Ram Navami holds immense significance for Hindus worldwide, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil and the victory of righteousness.

The celebration is marked with devotional songs, recitation of scriptures, and community prayers, all of which serve to reinforce the timeless teachings of Lord Ram.

Ram Navami will end at midday next Wednesday.
