Naitasiri flyhalf Tuidraki Samusamuvodre is continuing to prove his worth to national selectors especially Flying Fijians Coach Vern Cotter who has been monitoring local players in the Skipper Cup Competition from New Zealand.

He is one of three local fly-halves included in the 40-member extended squad that is going through a series of high-performance training programmes with Fiji Rugby Strength and Conditioning Coach Naca Cawanibuka.

Samusamuvodre kicked two penalties and the winning drop goal in the 77th minute for Naitasiri in their 9-6 win over Nadroga at Lawaqa Park on Saturday.

The 22-year-old has been rising through the ranks of Fiji Rugby over the years representing the Fijian Latui, Fijian Drua and the Fijian Warriors.

He was the Fijian Warriors captain during the World Rugby Pacific Challenge in March this year.

Lautoka will take on Namosi this week in the Skipper Cup Competition and Farebrother Sullivan Trophy challenge.

In other matches, Suva will take on Naitasiri, Nadi will face Nadroga while Tailevu will host Yasawa.

The times and venues for these games are yet be confirmed by Fiji Rugby.
