Samu Kerevi makes the switch to 7s rugby

Former Wallaby star Samu Kerevi has switched to sevens rugby ahead of the Olympics.

This has been confirmed by the Australian 7s team coach Tim Walsh.

The ex-Reds centre will look to put himself in contention for the Tokyo Olympics after finishing his season in Japan’s Top League with Suntory Sungoliath.

Sydney Morning Herald reports Kerevi is currently quarantining in a hotel and will join up with the Australian 7s Sevens squad when that has been completed.
