Saifiti to represent the Blues while number of debutants for the Maroons

Former Fiji Bati rep, Daniel Saifiti will start for the New South Wales Blues

Former Fiji Bati rep, Daniel Saifiti will start for the New South Wales Blues against the Queensland Maroons for game 1 of the State of Origin Series next week.

Saifiti who plays for the Newcastle Knights with his twin brother Jacob, made his Origin debut last year.

Blues coach Brad Fittler has named experienced players such as James Tedesco, Josh Addo-Carr, Damien Cook, Tyson Frizell, Boyd Cordner and Jake Trbojevic.

Meanwhile, the Maroons have named a number of rookies as they aim to stop the Blues from winning the series for a third consecutive year.

AJ Brimson, Xavier Coates, Brenko Lee, Phillip Sami, Jake Friend and Tino Fa'asu-amaleaui will make their Origin debuts for the Maroons.

Game one between the Maroons and the Blues will be at 9.10pm next Wednesday.
