The Fiji Cancer Society and the Sai Prema Foundation have signed an agreement where the Society will leverage on the various community service projects and initiatives by Sai Prema Foundation.

This includes conducting cancer advocacy workshops and consultations through Sai Prema Foundation’s free outreach medical camps to the rural villages.

Sai Prema Foundation Director Sumeet Tappoo says they have been collaborating with the Fiji Cancer Society for the past number of years through the Foundation’s ‘Health on Wheels’ rural outreach medical camps.

Tappoo says they have now decided to formalize this partnership and work together on a number of initiatives to serve the people of Fiji.

Fiji Cancer Society’s Executive Officer Belinda Chan has thanked the Foundation and says she is excited about the prospect of jointly working together to serve those in need.

Chan says Cancer is still the third leading cause of deaths in Fiji and partnerships such as this will help them take their services to the unreachable.
