The South Pacific Stock Exchange has appointed Lorraine Seeto as an Independent Director of the Board.

SPX says Seeto has a distinguished track record in the financial sector, being the first female to hold a senior executive role at the Reserve Bank of Fiji and having served as an advisor to the Governors.

They say her broad experience spans collaboration with regional and international financial institutions, as well as involvement in key national and global financial sector initiatives, and she has been recognised with several industry honours, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Fiji Institute of Bankers and the Women in Business Excellence and Commitment Award.

The Exchange says her appointment enhances the Board’s depth of expertise and supports their ongoing focus on strong governance and capital market development.

SPX Chairperson Nitin Gandhi says they are honoured to have Lorraine join the SPX Board, as her depth of experience in central banking, financial regulation, and stakeholder engagement will bring valuable perspective to their strategic direction.

He says her appointment reinforces their commitment to strong governance and advancing the capital market in Fiji.
