The SODELPA Working Committee meeting is underway to decide on their next step and plan for their management board meeting.

Lenaitasi Duru, who remains the General Secretary for SODELPA for 30 days after resigning, says the Working Committee is being chaired by SODELPA President, Ratu Manoa Roragaca and includes Viliame Gavoka, Aseri Radrodro and Semesa Karavaki.

Duru confirms that there are only 30 active management board members for SODELPA instead of the 42.

The other members’ terms have expired.

He also says if the management board meeting takes place after the parliament sitting, the 3 SODELPA parliamentarians can just go and vote based on their conscience.

SODELPA is expected to have another management board meeting tomorrow regarding the coalition decision however SODELPA Campaign Director, Jope Koroisavou says their coalition with the People’s Alliance and the National Federation Party is intact.

Following the correspondence between SODELPA General Secretary, Lenaitasi Duru and Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem, it was decided by Saneem that Tuesday’s management board meeting decision was null and void.

Duru says two members who voted on Tuesday were not supposed to be part of the meeting because they were non-active members.

Koroisavou says they are working to get that solved by tomorrow. He says hopefully, they will get things rectified by then.

People's Alliance Deputy Leader, Manoa Kamikamica says he really feels sorry for Duru because according to the SODELPA members in the meeting, Duru had verified the list of those members.

Meanwhile Kamikamica confirmed last night that the coalition agreement between the People's Alliance, NFP and SODELPA has been finalised.
