SODELPA to decide soon after FijiFirst and People’s Alliance make presentations

SODELPA to decide soon after FijiFirst and People’s Alliance make presentations

The wife of the late former Prime Minister and founder of the party, Mrs Leba Qarase was also not allowed in when she came to the venue.

Some of the members of the SODELPA communications team have also not been allowed in because their names are not on the list.

SODELPA Youth Council Vice President, Koroi Tikoilomaloma was shocked this morning that he was not allowed to be part of the board meeting.

Speaking to the media, Tikoilomaloma says he is astonished that the youth rep that they were selected with during the Party AGM was allowed in and he wasn't.

He adds he believes as the Vice President of the Youth Council, he should be in the meeting as he represents majority of the voters.

SODELPA's Acting Deputy Leader, Aseri Radrodro said yesterday that the party’s Working Committee addressed the issue of irregularities that have been brought to their attention by the Registrar of Political Parties, Mohammed Saneem in their management board meeting earlier this week.

He says some members of the management board had their terms expired as all members that were seated in any board meeting should have their terms for two years.

Radrodro says the main agenda for today’s meeting is the decision of the board on which party to go with.

When fijivillage News questioned Radrodro if he will respect and support the decision of the board if they decide to form a coalition with People’s Alliance and the National Federation Party or FijiFirst when he gets into Parliament, Radrodro says what needs to be made clear is that they are run by the management board and the board's decision is paramount, and any member will have to abide by the board’s decision going forward.
