The SODELPA management board meeting is now underway at Southern Cross Hotel where they will decide who they will go into a coalition with to form the next government.

The gates at the hotel are locked and security at the gates are only allowing people that are on the list to go up for the meeting.

The list is provided by SODELPA General Secretary, Lenaitasi Duru on who should be allowed into the premises for the meeting.

About 15 Police officers from the Special Response Unit are also at the location.

Some military vehicles have also been seen patrolling the area.

The media is not allowed into the premises.

3 of the board members that arrived for the meeting were not allowed in as they have been told that their term is expired.

The wife of the late former Prime Minister and founder of the party, Mrs Leba Qarase was also not allowed in when she came to the venue.

Some of the members of the SODELPA communications team have also not been allowed in because their names are not on the list.

fijivillage News has received information that the People’s Alliance/National Federation Party and the FijiFirst Party are also expected to make presentations to the management board again before a vote is taken.

SODELPA's Acting Deputy Leader, Aseri Radrodro said yesterday that the party’s Working Committee addressed the issue of irregularities that have been brought to their attention by the Registrar of Political Parties, Mohammed Saneem in their management board meeting earlier this week.

He says some members of the management board had their terms expired as all members that were seated in any board meeting should have their terms for two years.

Radrodro says the main agenda for today’s meeting is the decision of the board on which party to go with.

When fijivillage News questioned Radrodro if he will respect and support the decision of the board if they decide to form a coalition with People’s Alliance and the National Federation Party or FijiFirst when he gets into Parliament, Radrodro says what needs to be made clear is that they are run by the management board and the board's decision is paramount, and any member will have to abide by the board’s decision going forward.
