Fijians across the nation can now connect more easily with the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) following the launch of its revamped official website, www.sodelpa.org.fj — a milestone that aims to modernize the party’s digital presence and make political engagement more accessible to everyone.

Minister for Education and SODELPA Leader, Aseri Radrodro says the redesigned platform reflects SODELPA’s strong commitment to transparency, inclusivity, innovation, and public participation, bringing politics closer to the people and ensuring every Fijian has the opportunity to be heard, to contribute, and to lead.

Radrodro adds that a key highlight of the new website is the Online Candidate Application Portal, which allows aspiring leaders from across Fiji to apply online to represent SODELPA in future elections.

He says this initiative promotes fairness and accessibility, enabling anyone qualified, regardless of location or background, to apply.

Radrodro says that applicants must comply with the Fijian Constitution 2013, Electoral Act 2014, and additional party-specific criteria designed to ensure SODELPA nominates the most suitable candidates.

He adds that the candidate selection criteria require applicants to possess relevant skills and experience, sectoral knowledge, innovation, good character, and a strong commitment to serve the people of Fiji.

Radrodro says other key features of the new website include a News and Events Hub with regular updates on party activities, community outreach, and national policy issues, as well as detailed Party Information, such as SODELPA’s structure, strategic plan, and manifesto.

He adds that among the upcoming features currently under development are a Membership Registration section to help supporters join and stay connected, a Volunteer and Support section for citizens to engage and contribute to party initiatives, and a Payment Gateway Portal for secure online donations and contributions.

He highlights that this digital transformation marks a new era for SODELPA.

Radrodro says it also strengthens communication and engagement between the party, its members, and the broader Fijian public.
