Mia Kami whose new song ‘Rooted’ is playing on Legend FM and is available on Youtube says the song is a message about strength and who we are as Pacific People and how we are resilient during tough times.

Kami says she had initially written the song in 2018 and it was meant for an anti-logging campaign.

The 23-year-old USP Student says she never had a proper recorded version of the song but she always had a vision for the song that it would be for the Pacific.

Kami further adds she hopes to release an official video of the song by the end of this month.

She has also thanked Rako Pasefika Productions, Noisy Oyster Production and Nia Tero for helping her bring the song to life.
