Rooted in tradition, rising as leaders: Tailevu youth take the lead

The Tailevu Provincial Youth Council is instilling traditional values and identity in young people while preparing them to become future leaders of Fiji.

General Secretary Jekope Raisua says the Siga kei Luvei Tailevu 2025 celebrations concluded three days of activities, showcasing provincial pride and reaffirming their belief that unity is key to overcoming local and national challenges.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica says the youth-led event, themed “Na Noqu Vanua, Na Veiwekani kei na Vakarau”, celebrated the province’s identity while strengthening the role of young people in shaping the nation’s future.

He highlighted government programs through the Ministry of Youth as well as empowerment opportunities in trade, agriculture, aquaculture, fisheries, and forestry.

Kamikamica says the intent is to equip young leaders to become responsible citizens and strong leaders of tomorrow.

The Siga kei Luvei Tailevu 2025 celebrations will wrap up at 4pm today at Nausori Primary School.
