Public Service Commission Chairman, Luke Rokovada says all those who had lodged complaints against current Permanent Secretary for Public Enterprise Pita Wise in 2024 subsequently withdrew their complaints in writing to the Prime Minister's Office.
While responding to the serious concerns raised by the Fiji Women's Crisis Centre, Fiji Women's Rights Movement and DIVA For Equality on Wise's appointment despite a sexual harassment complaint against him when he was Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office two years ago, Rokovada says no investigation had been conducted into the allegations of misconduct against Wise.
He says that Wise resigned from his position for personal reasons.
Rokovada says Wise's appointment was made following the endorsement of Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, who also holds the Civil Service portfolio.
