High Court to rule Monday on Prof. Prasad’s permanent stay application
The Suva High Court will hear oral submissions on Friday before delivering its judgement on Monday on former Deputy Prime Minister Professor Biman Prasad’s application for a permanent stay of proceedings in his FICAC case.

High Court Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe has directed Professor Prasad’s counsel, Richard Naidu, to file their affidavit by 2pm today, while FICAC has until 4pm tomorrow to file its affidavit.

Justice Rajasinghe says Naidu may respond to FICAC’s affidavit by 4pm on Thursday.

He says the court will also hear Professor Prasad’s application for a temporary stay of the trial on Friday morning.
