Rokosalate, Navai, Navudi, Vunivere and Seaqaqa areas in Labasa closed due to flooding

Some areas in Labasa including Wailevu, Qelewaqa Road, Bulileka, Rokosalate, Navai, Navudi, Vunivere and Batinikama are closed due to flooding.

Davendra Prasad of Navudi, Seaqaqa says it has been continuously raining heavily in Labasa since yesterday morning and access to all roads along these routes are closed.

He is urging everyone to take precautions while travelling.

Fijivillage News has also received several messages from people about their areas being flooded.

The Fiji Roads Authority has confirmed that Bucalevu Crossing, Bucalevu Road, Navakaka, Savusavu, Natewa Culvert Crossing, Natewa Road, Natewa, Banikea Crossing, Banikea Kavula Road, Lekutu Bua, Vunivau Circular Road towards Cawaira, Labasa, Nasarava Low Level Crossing, Nasarava Road, Nakama, Wailevu Tiri Road, Wailevu, Konasami Crossing, Bulileka Road, Tabucola Road towards Wailevu, Coqeloa Road, Labasa, Lagalaga Road, Wainikoro, Nasekula Back Road, Naqumu Low Level Crossing, Narailagi Low Level Crossing, Narailagi Road, Batiri, Buavou Low Level Crossing, Buavou Road, Namuavoivoi Crossing # 2, Lalakoro Crossing, Zailav Low Level Crossing, Zailav Road, Batiri and Seaqaqa is closed to all traffic.

FRA also urges people to take extra precautions and refrain from crossing flooded streams and low level crossing that are currently under flood waters.
