Residents of Kadavu are set to benefit from recent improvements to the Nabukelevu Road, with maintenance efforts aimed at enhancing road access and safety.

Minister for Public Works and Transport Ro Filipe Tuisawau says drainage work along the road is now complete, addressing a key issue for the villagers.

The Minister says the current efforts are focused on grading, spot re-sheeting, and compacting critical sections to improve the rural road surface.

He explains that these upgrades are expected to make transportation safer and more reliable for the people of Kadavu, ensuring better access to essential services and supporting the community’s daily activities.

Ro Filipe adds that improved road conditions will aid in economic activities, including the transport of local goods that benefit the area’s economy.

He describes this development as a positive step for Kadavu, as residents look forward to the enhanced connectivity and safety the improved road will bring.
