Road alignment changes ahead of Tamavua-i-Wai Bridge

07/07/2025

There will be a change in road alignment to cater for the ground improvement works on the approach roads to the new Tamavua-i-Wai Bridge which will slowly come into effect to prepare drivers.

The Fiji Roads Authority says people should expect major construction works for the bridge and see the entry and exit of heavy gear in and around the Tamavua-i-Wai River, a change in the layout of traffic management between Reservoir and Nadonumai Road and a decrease in overall speed for this section of Queens Road due to safety implementation for all.

FRA says a further advisory will be issued once the actual road alignment changes take place, allowing members of the public to plan their travel accordingly.

They add that ground works have commenced and the people are urged to exercise caution and follow all safety measures and signages in place.
