Ro Teimumu given until 3pm this Thursday to respond to the FEO

Acting Supervisor of Elections, Ana Mataiciwa says the Fijian Elections Office has given SODELPA member, Ro Teimumu Kepa until 3pm this Thursday to respond to the complaint in relation to the allegation levelled against her.

Mataiciwa confirms that in the meantime, they have obtained confirmation of appointment from the two Boards which include the Tertiary Scholarship and Loans Service and Airports Fiji Limited, and also confirmed that Ro Teimumu Kepa has not resigned from SODELPA.

The Acting Supervisor of Elections says they will review all information received including the response from the person being complained of and make a decision from there.

Mataiciwa says section 14(7) of the Political Parties Act will apply which states that it carries a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years or to both upon conviction.
