Rieko Ioane has become the second All Black to re-sign with New Zealand Rugby until the end of the next Rugby World Cup cycle in 2027.
Ioane who has played 59 Tests, joins hooker Samisoni Taukei'aho in re-committing to the All Blacks.
Ioane would have commanded a big salary overseas and there were rumours that he was about to sign with a Japanese club.
He does, however, have a sabbatical clause in his contract which he can exercise in 2025.
