Water Authority Chief Operating Officer, Seru Soderberg

Residents in Nakasi, Davuilevu, Koronivia and Lokia had raised concerns on the unplanned water disruption that they had started facing from yesterday.

Water Authority Chief Operating Officer, Seru Soderberg says this happened after a contractor carrying out excavation works had accidentally damaged their 300mm pipeline in Nakasi.

Soderberg says they had started restoration works from 5am and customers should have already started receiving water.

He adds that customers on the elevated end of Davuilevu Housing will still be facing no water supply right now, but as the pressure builds they will start restoring water to those areas.
