Restarts and defence is a critical area for Fijiana 7s - Fuli

Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s coach Saiasi Fuli

Improving on their restarts and defence is a critical area that Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s coach Saiasi Fuli is looking to enhance as they prepare for the HSBC Singapore 7s next week.

Fuli says retaining the restarts is critical for them, as this has been an issue in previous tournaments.

He says another key area they need to improve is defence and how the players can read and anticipate what their opponents do on the field.

The Fijiana 7s will open their Singapore 7s campaign against Great Britain at 4.28pm next Friday, they will take on Brazil at 9.43pm next Friday in their second match and play Australia at 4.50pm next Saturday in their last pool match.

The Women’s quarter finals will start at 8.27pm next Saturday, the semi finals will begin at 5.02pm next Sunday, and the final will be held at 9.41pm next Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Men’s 7s will take on the USA at 5:14pm next Friday in their first match, then they will meet Great Britain at 10:30pm next Friday and play Ireland at 5.37pm next Saturday in their last pool match.

The Men’s quarter finals will start at 11pm next Saturday, the semi finals will begin at 5.48pm next Sunday, and the final will be held at 10.21pm next Sunday.
