Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says the resolutions from the Constitutional Offices Commission will be taken through the proper channel for further action.

When questioned by fijivillage News, if today’s agenda had issues relating to Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho and the Fiji Corrections Service Commissioner Francis Kean, Rabuka says he will not comment.

Attorney General Siromi Turaga had earlier confirmed that they have received a report against the Fiji Corrections Service Commissioner and the matter is with the Constitutional Offices Commission.

Turaga had also confirmed that the matter regarding the coalition government not having complete trust in the Commissioner of Police as expressed by the Minister for Home Affairs, is also before the commission.

Questions have been raised on how the coalition government is approaching the matter as there have been some complaints filed with the Police against the former Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and former Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama.

Turaga says any concerns regarding the Police Commissioner will be dealt with by the Commission.
