In the spirit of the festive season, residents of the Golden Age Home in Samabula enjoyed a refreshing day out at the Yatu Lau Beachfront Picnic Spot in Deuba this month.

The Ministry of Social Welfare says this was organised by the carers and staff of the Golden Age Home, aiming to provide the residents with a chance to relax, engage in recreational activities and social engagement.

Welfare Officer Repeka Waqalala says it was a joy to see the residents happy and active as days like these are important for their well-being and allows them to experience something outside of their usual routine.

The Ministry of Social Welfare adds that such initiatives reflect the unwavering dedication of the Golden Age Home staff, carers and Board of Visitors in enriching the lives of the residents.

The residents made the most of the favorable weather, participating in light sports, enjoying the scenic surroundings, and spending quality time outdoors, creating cherished memories in the process.
