A concerned citizen has told Fijivillage that bus service in Reba Circle in Nadera is erratic, as people had been waiting for a bus since 6am today but still had not had a bus come their way by 7.30am.

A resident of Reba Circle has told Fijivillage that her daughter who attends Suva Muslim College left the house at 6.15 this morning and was still waiting for a bus at 7.30am.

She says Dee Cee’s Bus Service Ltd is servicing this route.

She adds this is the usual case and has also stated that the bus does not let students get on in Nabua.

She says her daughter has to get in a bus going towards Nausori, then gets off in Valelevu and then walks to her home in Reba Circle.

She says she reaches home at around 5.30pm and they are concerned for her safety.

Dee Cee’s Bus Service Ltd General Manager Silas Mohan says Reba Circle is a large area and that there are buses servicing the area every 10 minutes.

Mohan says he has not received any complaints and has asked the complainant to call the office.

When we asked about drivers not stopping for passengers in Nabua, Mohan says a lot of the drivers are doing that and they have received complaints regarding the matter.

He says in order for them to act on it, they will need the registration of the buses that do not stop to pick up passengers.
