Residents of Kashmir in Lautoka have been without water for the past two days, and they are calling on the Water Authority of Fiji to clarify when their supply will return to normal.
Kashmir resident Sanjay Arvin Lal says they are facing daily challenges due to the ongoing water disruptions.
He says it has been two days since they last received water through their taps, forcing many to rely on bottled water.
Lal says there is only one water carting truck serving the area, which is not sufficient.
He adds that they contacted WAF and were told that the water level at the reservoir is low.
Lal questions how the reservoir level could be low when the area experienced heavy rainfall last night.
Another resident, Kelera Ului, says the water disruption has affected their daily lives.
She says her children have been asking for water, but there is none coming from the taps, and they have to depend on buying bottled water to get by.
We have sent questions to the Water Authority of Fiji on what is causing the disruption and when the situation will improve.
They are yet to respond.
