If you live in Wainibuku, Nausori and frequently travel on Naivorovoro Road, please be advised that work on the road is expected to be completed in about two weeks time.

Naivorovoro Road is just past Rups Mega Complex in Nakasi which leads to the new Wainibuku subdivision.

Residents had earlier raised concerns with Legend FM News about large potholes and the danger it is causing to both drivers and pedestrians.

Resident, Nilesh Lal says work began shortly after a meeting between residents and Minister for Local Government, Premila Kumar, Fiji Roads Authority and Nausori Town Council in November last year.

He says work had stopped and he was informed by FRA that there was a shortage of bitumen and the Authority then had to work on other urgent roads that were damaged because of the cyclones.

FRA’s Acting CEO, Kamal Prasad says they were supposed to receive new shipment of bitumen by the end of last month and this has now been delayed to 13th of this month.

He says for now work is not being affected as it is raining around the country.
