The newly refurbished $40,000 dining hall at Ballantine Memorial School has been officially opened as they look forward towards a a bigger, better and brighter future.

School Principal Sisilia Racule says $27,000 was a grant from the Ministry of Education while the rest of the amount was fund-raised.

Racule says through unity at work among the old scholars and stakeholders, they have brought a newly refurbished dining hall ready for the students.

She adds the celebration continues as the school has achieved a great exam result in Year 13 and improved results in Year 12 with 96% and 83% respectively.

She says that this is a testament to the hard-working teachers at BMS and it's a milestone achievement for the school.

Meanwhile, the President for the BMS Old Girls says she is proud of the achievement made by the former students of BMS around Fiji and abroad and has acknowledged the helping hand from all stakeholders and families for their help that will bring smiles to the students of their school.
