Referee’s call are out of our control - Ikanivere

When questioned on if some of the referees calls in the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s game against the Waratahs were controversial, Captain Tevita Ikanivere says that is out of their control.

Ikanivere stated this at the post match press conference with the media saying they cannot control the referees if they do not see things their way.

He says everything has to be sure shot and by the book from their side.

The skipper says they will come out stronger and better next week against the Chiefs in Lautoka.

This question was asked by fijivillage News after some really controversial calls were made by the games officials including a neck roll on Ikanivere during a maul which the referee said the Television Match Official will check but nothing was done.

In other games tonight, the Hurricanes will meet the Blues at 6.05 tonight, and the Force will take on the Reds at 8.35pm.
