With only a few days remaining until the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians take on the All Blacks, Sevu Reece has revealed how he almost chose to play for Fiji before the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

According to reports, Reece is set to be named on the right-wing against Fiji and it will be an emotional occasion for the speedster as he faces several “close mates” who he grew up with.

The Nadi born flyer told Newshub that he was in discussion with former Flying Fijians coach John McKee but opted to represent the All Blacks eventually.

He says growing up watching the Fiji 7s team and donning the white jersey was always a dream.

Reece also joked that Hoskins Sotutu and George Bower would have also a target on their backs.

He says Fiji versus the All Blacks is a massive achievement, not just for the Fiji team but for the whole country.

Fiji will play the All Blacks at 7.05pm this Saturday.

The second test is next Saturday.
