Govind Park in Ba, now renamed 'Four R Stadium,' has officially reopened after undergoing major redevelopment following extensive damage caused by Cyclone Winston in 2016.

Minister for Housing and Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa, says the $13 million redevelopment reflects a broader vision where sport drives community empowerment, local employment, and national unity—not just entertainment.
Nalumisa says this project is about more than sport.

He says it is a catalyst for health, economic activity, and national pride.
He adds that the upgraded facility will host local rugby and soccer tournaments, Super Rugby matches, and international test series, bringing both sporting and economic opportunities to the region.
Nalumisa says sports infrastructure like Govind Park strengthens youth development, identity, and social cohesion, while also unlocking jobs and tourism potential.
The Minister reaffirms the Coalition Government’s support for Fijians through ongoing initiatives such as rural housing grants, the 2025 Clean Cities and Towns competition, and the development of sustainable waste solutions.
He acknowledges the Ba Town Council and all stakeholders for their dedication to completing the stadium rebuild.
