Marist Brothers’ High School shot putter Benedito Joji Ravai has set his sights on setting a new senior boys’ shot put record at this year’s Coca Cola Games that will begin this Thursday.

While speaking to fijivillage Sports, Ravai says his goal is to break the record set by his old boy Mustafa Fall, who recorded a throw of 16 metres in 2015.

He says after claiming gold in the intermediate boys’ shot put last year, he wants to do it again this year with a new record.

The Coca-Cola Games will be held from this Thursday to Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
