In a bid to curb the rising number of NCD cases this festive season, Mele Raturaga, a successful businesswoman and owner of Mai Graze says her spread aims to provide a balanced meal that introduces fresh produce and fruits that are in season.

Raturaga says due to the increasing number of NCD cases in the country, food plays a major factor and can be used as medicine if chosen correctly and consumed in moderate amounts.

She says the inception of her business in 2019 came about when she had to farewell a friend of hers to Europe and she had a limited budget.

She says her inquisitive love of art transformed the table of food into a food artistry display.

Raturaga’s passion and pursuit to providing for herself all came to life after completing her Master's in Business Administration.

Her advice to women and people of Fiji who want to establish a business is to always remember that it is a tough world out there, and they can not please everyone and they need to find the problem and be the solution.
