The Head Boy of Pt Shreedhar Maharaj College, Savenaca Ratunakala received the Baton of Honour Award during their cadet pass-out parade that was held at their school ground today while Geeta Maharaj from the Yellow platoon received the Best All-Rounder Award.

Despite the challenges faced during their preparation, 18-year-old Ratunakala who is originally from Natogadravu in Tailevu was amongst the 407 students who passed out during their school cadet parade today.

Year 1301 student, Mereoni Kiniboi who is from Namuka, Nakelo in Tailevu took the Best Female Award while Ronit Prasad of Year 1201 of Blue platoon got the Best Male Award.

Bulou Tarusila of Year 1302 who is originally from Nabukelevu in Kadavu was awarded the best Detachment Sergeant Award while the Best Detachment Commander Award went to Anasa Saunokonoko of Year 1302 from the Blue platoon who is originally from Ekubu, Vatulele in Nadroga

While officiating at the event today, Divisional Planning Officer from the Commissioner Central Division Office, Mateo Naiveli says the parade speaks volume of the students’ dedication, commitment and perseverance in practising and fine tuning their drills.

Naiveli also remind the students from Year 9 to 13 to uphold the values and principles they have learned during their cadet training and be standard bearers of discipline and moral standards.
