As the installation of Ratu Tevita Uluilakeba Mara as the Tui Nayau, Sau ni Vanua ko Lau, na Tui Lau comes to an end, the Marama Bale na Roko Tui Dreketi, Ro Teimumu Kepa, says the event has brought about a revival and reinforcement of iTaukei mannerisms, which are rooted in love, respect, and humility.
She says the iTaukei people are known for their respectful nature and their ability to connect with those around them.
Ro Teimumu also visited the Republic of Fiji Military Forces to acknowledge their efforts.
The Burebasaga delegation, on behalf of the Marama Bale na Roko Tui Dreketi, expressed sincere appreciation to the mataqali Vatuwaqa for their warm hospitality and accommodation during the installation of Ratu Tevita.
Ro Teimumu says traditional blessings were offered to the Vuanirewa as they farewelled the Tui Nayau, with the hopeful message that they will meet again. She also acknowledged the presence of the former President and Tui Macuata Ratu Wiliame Katonivere during the installation.
