Nawaikula’s case to be called on Monday

Former SODELPA MPs Ratu Suliano Matanitobua and Salote Radrodro

The appeal hearing of former SODELPA MPs Ratu Suliano Matanitobua and Salote Radrodro has been adjourned to March 12th while former SODELPA MP, Niko Nawaikula’s case will be called on Monday.

Ratu Suliano's applications were not able to be heard today due to his lawyer not being present, however, Radrodro’s submission was heard.

They were convicted and sentenced on a charge each of giving false information to a public servant and obtaining financial advantage, and are appealing the conviction and sentence.

They are also appealing against the matter being transferred to the High Court from the Magistrates Court.
