New President of the People's Alliance Party Ratu Josefa Dimuri

Former Minister for Information in the SVT Government in the 1990s, Ratu Josefa Dimuri has been elected as the President of the People's Alliance Party.

Ratu Josefa was elected during the Party's Annual General Meeting that is currently underway at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva.

Speaking after being elected as Party President Ratu Josefa acknowledged the members for their belief in him in continuing in the role of President.

He says he will do justice to the role he has been elected to and he has big shoes to fill.

Ratu Josefa also acknowledged the work done by the previous President Ratu Vuniani Navuniuci.

He highlighted that he believes that there are good times ahead of them, and there has been a lot of criticism about the party, but he encouraged them not to lose faith.
