While giving his time to help our local referees become more competent and raise their level of performance, renowned international rugby referee Rasta Rasivhenge yesterday held a first-ever referees clinic for the Kadavu Rugby Union.

Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection and President of the Kadavu Rugby Union Lynda Tabuya says the people of Kadavu are blessed beyond measure for such a passionate and dedicated world-class rugby referee like Rasivhenge to come through and assist their referees in the maritime areas.

Tabuya says the training session held by Rasivhenge will also get their referees on par with the demands that are there for them.

She adds although they strive for representation from all their district, they are off to a great start with 3 women in attendance during the training.

The clinic saw aspiring referees and administrators attend from other parts of Kadavu which will also boost the establishment of the Kadavu Rugby Union.
