Good news for the people of Labasa as the first international brand hotel in Labasa, Ramada Encore by Wyndham will open next year in Damodar City.

Damodar Group CEO, Div Damodar has confirmed this to fijivillage News in an interview and says the $10 million project will include 40 rooms with conference room, swimming pool and other facilities.

The CEO says this investment will extend the tourism development and attract more tourists to our shores especially in the North with the recent projects.

When asked how many jobs would this create, Damodar says they can’t comment on the figures yet as it’s an on going project and the figures continue to build.

Damodar further says working with the Wyndham Group has strengthened his confidence in Fiji's tourism industry with better upcoming opportunities.
