For 24-year-old Simran Shaniya Ram, graduating with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care from the University of the South Pacific is more than just a milestone — it’s a powerful reminder that perseverance, family support, and belief in oneself can carry you through even the toughest challenges.
While speaking to fijivillage News, Ram says that, like many students, she faced academic pressure, emotional hurdles, and personal sacrifices, but she kept working hard so she can make a difference in young lives.
The Nadi resident says her success would not have been possible without her parents and siblings, who have supported her every step of the way.
Ram is the youngest of four siblings, with her eldest brother in America, her sister in New Zealand, and another brother in Australia.
She says she missed their presence on her special day and wishes they were here to celebrate with her.
She wants to encourage others by emphasising that learning is a lifelong journey, education is truly the key to success, and that you should never stop striving to learn or stop believing in yourself.
