Ram Sami & Sons signs 5 year contract worth $150,000 with the Suva Rugby Union

Suva Rugby Union Manager, Nemani Tuifagalele says this deal will not only develop rugby but will also benefit the welfare of players.

Ram Sami & Sons Fiji Limited has signed a 5-year contract worth $150,000 with the Suva Rugby Union.

Ram Sami & Sons and Wallson Foods Limited Director, Prashnil Goundar says they are joining hands with the Suva Rugby Union as this is a part of their social responsibility.

Sami says in these trying times we need to keep our local games alive and there is a need to support Fiji's local rugby tournaments.

Suva Rugby Union Manager, Nemani Tuifagalele says this deal will not only develop rugby but will also benefit the welfare of players.

Tuifagalele says they are also giving allowances for the Suva Women’s Rugby and is also considering allowances to be given to their Under 19 players.

He says with this amount of $30,000 a year it is taking them in the right direction towards professionalism in rugby.

The Suva Rugby Union is giving $100 to $150 dollars to each men’s and women’s players as their allowance on a weekly basis.
